Capability
CES originally developed
packaged plant designs to provide safe economical drinking water to
people living in third-world and rural conditions. To accomplish
this, these plants direct water through a series of process modules
to remove pollutants, destroy all bacteria, viruses, parasites and
cysts, fungi, radio-nuclides, bio-toxins, and chemical toxicants.
While based on well known technologies, each module has been greatly
advanced to maximize its effectiveness, lower its operating costs,
simplify maintenance, and ensure its reliability. CES plants have a
remarkably small footprint, with the flow of standard mobile designs
from 2,880 to over 1,000,000 gallons per day. A Model RF-35 is only
10ft x 6ft x 8ft (LWH) yet can purify 50,000 gallons of polluted
water per day.
Salt
Water
Our standard
systems will not remove salt from water. A reverse osmosis
membrane can be added to the process train after the last UV
disinfection unit if salt removal is required. The RF-100 series
and higher numbered drinking water units employ four stages of
disinfection to maximize the destruction of parasites and
bacteria, they are:
Electro-flocculation, UV, Ozonation, and UV again. We use
this extensive killing power to destroy fungus; the cysts of
parasites and large complex pathogens like tape worms, protozoa,
hydra, algae, mold, round worms, hook worms and blood flukes.
